Small Business BC's Successful You Awards

Join Trevor Linden at the 9th Annual Small Business BC Successful You Awards as he shares his ideas on leadership and team work in hockey and how those lessons have helped him build a successful career in business.

 

Since retiring in 2008 from a 20 year hockey career, Former NHL All-Star and Olympian, Trevor Linden has entered the business world with as much commitment and enthusiasm as he displayed as an athlete. Linden has been involved in the development and launch of Club 16 – Trevor Linden Fitness. He has also partnered with Airey Development Group to build two residential/commercial development projects, with a third in the works.  Earning the respect of his local community through his tireless commitment to giving back, Linden was named a recipient of the 2011 Order of Canada and the 2003 Order of British Columbia for his charitable efforts. Through his foundation, the Trevor Linden Foundation, he has granted more than $650,000 to Canadian Cancer Society’s Camp Goodtimes, a camp for children and their families living with cancer located in Mission, BC. 

The Small Business BC Successful You Awards event takes place annually in downtown Vancouver, BC. A diverse audience of approximately 400 guests attend the event to recognize and celebrate the success of BC’s best small businesses.

 

During the ceremony, the winners of the six award categories will be announced. A celebration reception will then follow the awards ceremony, providing contest nominees and finalists, industry professionals and local entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet and mingle with government delegates, award sponsors and media.
