The Business

Laughing Moon Nursery is a Tlell, BC-based nursery and garden store, featuring a greenhouse, bedding plants, vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, perennials and fruit trees.  One of the nursery’s main offerings is locally started plants that grow from organic, non-GMO seed stock.  

Laughing Moon Nursery is supported by the local community throughout Haida Gwaii, where there is a niche for locally grown food.

The Founder

After her daughter was born, Andrea Barker wanted to find part-time work.  What started as a 10’x12’ greenhouse full of her own plants has turned into a much larger greenhouse, garden centre and nursery offering a wide variety of organic, locally seeded plants for her Tlell, BC customers.
