Simone Decosse

Executive Director, Small Business Branch at Ministry of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development
During her 28-year career with the provincial government, Simone has held various tax policy and legislative development management positions with the Ministry of Provincial Revenue and Ministry of Finance. She’s currently the Executive Director, Small Business Branch at Ministry of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development.
Ms. Decosse has been the recipient of numerous awards, including a Queens’ Golden Jubilee Medal for sustained excellence in the public service (2002); the 2006/07 Premier’s Finalist Award for Leadership; and the 2007 Apex Award for performance excellence, PST Review. Under her leadership, the Small Business Branch won the 2007-2008 Premier’s Award, Partnership category for BizPaL.
Ms. Decosse holds a BA in Social Sciences from Carleton University, and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Victoria.
